Although secluded, Stepping Stones B&B is easy to find. It is located
about 10 minutes off New Hampshire's state highway Route 101, which runs
east-west across southern New Hampshire. Wilton Center is in the middle
of southern New Hampshire, on the eastern edge of the Monadnock Region.

DRIVING
DISTANCES
- From Manchester,
N.H. (Manchester Airport): 23 miles
- From Boston, Massachusetts
(Logan Airport): 55 miles
- From Brattleboro,
Vermont (Interstate 91): 38 miles
DIRECTIONS
- Please note: Wilton
is the town on the Souhegan river; Wilton Center is a village
on the ridge about 4 miles west of Wilton, and is part of the township
of Wilton. Many New England townships have several historic village
centers.
- From Manchester:
Take State Highway Rt. 101 west, which bypasses Bedford, Amherst and
Milford. At the red light west of Milford, continue west on Rt. 101
and go by Wilton (2 miles). Continue west 4 miles, past Rt. 31 south,
for 1/4 mile more; look for white sign for Wilton Center, directly across
from Brookside Mobil Self-Servistation on left. Bear right up Isaac
Frye Highway (it's a narrow local road up hill) for 1/2 mile. Go
straight between the 2 churches through small village, and continue
straight 3/4 mile past Auction Barn on the right to intersection. Turn
sharp left on Bennington Battle Trail (clearly marked). B&B is immediately
on left, with a painted sign on the road (see photo above). The total
distance from Rt 101 is 1.3 miles. A landmark is the Auction Barn --
please note that Stepping Stones B&B is the SECOND house on the
left after you pass the Auction Barn. Again, look for the Bennington
Battle Trail road sign on the left, and the Stepping Stones painted
sign. If you find yourself headed down a steep hill, you've gone just
a little too far. There is a place to turn around at the bottom of the
short hill.
- From Boston: Take
Rt. 3 north to Exit 8, Nashua N.H. and take Rt. 101A west towards Milford,
N.H., 8 miles. Turn onto Rt. 101 west (101 is overpass over 101A) which
goes around Milford, to red light west of Milford. If by mistake you
go through Milford, just follow 101A and you'll still end up at the
same red light. Now just follow directions above from the red light
west of Milford.
- From Brattleboro:
Take Rt. 9 east to Keene (21 miles). Continue east on Rt. 101 through
Peterborough (17 miles). Continue east past Pack Monadnock mountain
until Mobil station (9 miles, very rural). See above directions from
Mobil station.
