GOOD FOOD at and near Stepping Stones B&B

START WITH BREAKFAST AT STEPPING STONES

Ann starts her breakfasts with plenty of fresh fruit, topped with yogurt if you like, and of course has fresh-brewed coffee, a selection of teas, and juice.

Some days she then serves fresh lemon/poppy seed muffins, other days crisp waffles with real maple syrup, or perhaps cheese omelets with cinnamon-raisin toast. Let her know if you have special needs.

ENJOY THE MORNING SUN
WITH YOUR COFFEE

Breakfast is served in the south-facing solarium, looking out over the garden. (In winter, a little woodstove keeps things cozy.)

You decide the hour. Business travelers are welcome to ask for an extra early start.

LUNCH IDEAS -- PICNIC and SIT-DOWN

Just down the hill on Route 101 is a fresh market with local breads, cheeses, organic vegetables and fruits, baked goods, juices and a wide variety of picnic treats. Perfect if you're going for a hike.

In Peterborough there are several delis and gourmet food stores, including Roy's Market and the Twelve Pine Deli. Or just walk around downtown and choose from more than a dozen bistros, bakeries and diners. Toadstool Bookshop has a nice eating area and lunch menu.

DINNER

Ask Ann for advice or consult the local tourist guides. There are many choices in Peterborough and Milford.
