Mt. Monadnock is the focus of the scenic Monadnock region. SteppingStones B&B is located in Wilton Center, a tranquil hilltop hamlet just 5 minutes from N.H.'s east-west highway 101, and filled with woods, fields, barns, and lovingly tended houses along quiet roads.

Wilton Center is an easy drive from Boston and even closer to the Manchester, N.H. airport. It is 20 minutes from Peterborough, and 10 from Milford. See Maps.

Inside, the airy rooms are filled with fresh flowers, local art, antiques and handweaving by hostess Ann Carlsmith.

Tea, coffee, chocolates, fruit, and cookies welcome guests. Full breakfast in the solar garden room, with a flexible breakfast hour.

The bedrooms are air-conditioned in summer. Free wi-fi throughout the house.
